President, Founder & Certified Public Accountant
TJ founded CFO Tech in 2003 with the belief that small businesses deserve the same treatment as Fortune 500 companies. His philosophy of offering outsourced CFO services is directly attributable to that belief.
Characterized by his entrepreneurial spirit, as well as his passion for numbers, T.J. is driven to help businesses succeed and grow by providing the highest quality accounting services, comprehensive financial insight and unparalleled tax advice. Excellence is a way of life for him. One of his favorite sayings is “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.”
TJ spent several years during his early career in the public accounting arena at Kenneth Leventhal, CPAs and later Ernst and Young, LLP. He then moved on to the private sector, serving as CFO in a growing IT company, where he benefitted from seeing the other side of financial management.
As a young accounting graduate, TJ earned the singular distinction of not only passing the CPA exam on his first attempt, but scoring among the highest of thousands of CPA candidates who sat for the exam that year. That achievement earned him the prestigious Elijah Watts Sells Award (named in honor of one of the founding partners of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, which eventually became Deloitte Touche, one of the “Big Four” CPA Firms).
